Discover new artists with Hurst Open Studios

Hurst Open Studios returns as part of Hurst Festival on 12th–13th and 19th–20th September, inviting local residents and visitors to step inside artists’ homes and discover the work of more than 25 talented artists from Hurstpierpoint and the surrounding area.

Pick up a map and follow your own trail around the village, meeting painters, ceramicists, photographers, printmakers and other creatives in their homes, studios and exhibition spaces. Many venues will be serving tea and cake, making it the perfect way to spend a relaxed early autumn weekend while supporting local artists.

Whether you’re showing off Hurstpierpoint to visiting friends and family or simply rediscovering your own village, Hurst Open Studios is a wonderful opportunity to explore what many consider one of the prettiest villages in Sussex. Entry is free, with original paintings, prints, ceramics, cards and other handmade pieces available to buy at a range of prices. Please note that some venues are only open for one weekend, so be sure to check the map and artist listings online or follow on Instagram.
